10 Most AMAZING Memories of All Time!

Hitting YouTube so often like we do nowadays, we’re used to seeing a Top 10 list for everything – basketball plays, NASCAR accidents, fattest people, fastest gun in the West, etc. by the way, I love the highlight reels of Larry Bird, Pistol Pete Maravich, and Michael Jordan.

Moving from the exciting world of YouTube to my boring reality… If I had to come up with my 10 Most AMAZING Memories of All Time, what would they be? Now, I am sure that we all hope that our most amazing memories are yet in the future. I mean, c’mon, how can you not look forward to the future, especially when your life has been like watching corn grow?

In your memories list, there ought to be some of the following:

1.       Family Memories – if you are like me, there is nothing but family up until I was 22 years old. That’s all I ever knew. I logged more memories of family times, being with them 24/7, than most people get in twice that time. I don’t see them too often now, but when we do meet, it doesn’t take long to pick right back up where we left off. If you don’t have some good memories with family, maybe you should take some time and make that happen this year.

2.       Kindness Memories where you did something for someone else. Something totally unexpected (like being nice). You went beyond the expected. You sacrificed for someone else. They didn’t have it, but you gave it to them. She needed help and you were there at the right time. We tend to classify “Pay it Forward” stuff as wishy-washy, but the fact is, Christians ought to be the kindest people there are.

3.       Accomplishment Memories – where you finished something important, like high school, college, a certification, a job project. Something that took more than just “showing up”. You knew that you had bit off more than you wanted to chew, but you stuck it out and finished the job. You ought to have at least one great memory of hard work, diligence, and payoff.

4.       Spiritual Memories – like when you met Jesus Christ and had your sins forgiven. Like when you surrendered your life to do whatever He wanted. That one church service where the Holy Spirit was so present that you knew God had literally visited. That message you  heard that really nailed a certain issue down in your life. Maybe when you were confronted with the reality of God and His power. Times in your personal devotions where you could recognize the love of Jesus Christ for you. His wisdom. His power. How about that day you led a soul to Christ?

What other kinds of memories make your Top 10 List? The great thing about it is, we still have opportunities to revise the list. It all depends on what we decide to do with our lives. Let me know, I would love to hear about it!
