How to Grow the Best Relationship in Town

Actually, I did some research on gardening and discovered that there are a lot of correlations to courtship & dating. Everybody wants the same thing: to find "Mr. Right" or "Miss Perfect", marry him or her, and settle down to a lifelong dream of happiness, complete with 1.5 children, 2 car garage, and 75k a year. How hard can it be, right?

Creation Museum Roadtrip

303084-1274643-thumbnail.jpgFocus just visited the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY. It was a top-knotch facility. You can tell someone put a lot of money into it.

Also, the video called "The Last Adam" was incredible, with a Roman Centurion giving a first-hand account of what he witnessed as Christ was crucified.

Pastor Matt made a new friend and I believe they exchanged digits. The whole trip was a blessing, but the highlight to me was the evening session when everyone gave their testimonies. I am always amazed at how God is working in each of the single's lives. I know that God has great things in store for the group in 2008.

True Spirituality

True spirituality manifests itself in:

The desire to be holy rather than happy.

The desire to see the honor of God advanced through his life.

The desire to carry his cross.

The desire to see everything from God's viewpoint.

The desire to die right rather than live wrong.

The desire to see others advance at his expense.

The desire to make eternity-judgments instead of time-judgments.

Changes, Changes

Life is full of change. Loose change, oil changes, diaper changes, etc. When I was young, I loved change. I couldn't wait till next week or next month. I was always looking forward to the next exciting thing on the calendar.

Now, with five kids (did I just say I have five kids?) I don't want things to change so fast. For crying out loud, they were just born and now they're losing their teeth? My wife and I have been married for seven and a half years already? Darling, it doesn't seem like a day has passed.....(I had to slip that in there, just in case she would ever stoop to reading my blog).

Now I wonder, "Will anything stay the same?" Is anything stable enough to last from one year to the next? I can't even keep the same insurance ID cards from one month to the next, it seems.

Jesus Christ is "the same yesterday, and today, and forever".  He'll never change. He can't change. He doesn't need to change.

"I am the Lord. I change not, therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed".
